Where appropriate, we can recommend CQC-registered providers we currently work with upon request.
About Compass

Built to work
within your team,
not alongside it.

Clinician founded

FOUNDED BY PARAMEDICS
Compass Prehospital exists to strengthen established clinical and operational teams with dependable prehospital support.

Our background spans frontline ambulance care, patient transport, planned medical operations, search and rescue, and clinically informed work in complex environments. That experience helps us understand how an existing service operates and contribute with calm decision-making, professional accountability and clear communication.

Our foundations

Founded by
paramedics.

Founder-led, clinically grounded and deliberately structured to work within established provider systems.

01

Clinical credibility first

Compass Prehospital was founded by Paramedics with a shared commitment to dependable clinical practice, professional accountability and supporting healthcare providers with experienced, HCPC registered paramedic support.

02

Partnership, not agency

Rather than positioning Compass as a general staffing agency, our aim is to become a trusted clinical partner—working alongside established providers to deliver reliable paramedic support that integrates seamlessly into existing clinical operations.

03

Practice-led values

Every deployment reflects the same principles that guide our own professional practice: patient-centred care, sound clinical judgement, effective communication and continual professional development.

Four pillars of paramedic practice

Professional by
design.

Compass reflects the four-pillar model used to frame developing paramedic and advanced clinical practice: clinical practice, leadership and management, education, and research.

01

Clinical practice

Safe, person-centred clinical care supported by professional judgement, appropriate documentation and clear escalation.

02

Leadership & management

Reliable communication, accountable decision-making and the ability to integrate effectively within established teams and systems.

03

Education

Commitment to ongoing professional development, reflective practice and sharing learning in a way that strengthens clinical teams.

04

Research

Evidence-informed practice, critical thinking and a willingness to question, evaluate and improve how care is delivered.

Professional standards

Clinical practice is undertaken in accordance with the HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics, the HCPC Standards of Proficiency for Paramedics, and the governance arrangements of the commissioning provider.

Standards & governance

Clear scope before deployment.

Effective integration starts before anyone arrives on site. The provider, environment, scope and responsibilities should be understood first.

Provider caveat: clinical work is undertaken within the agreed scope, local policies and governance arrangements of the commissioning provider. Any recommendation or discussion from Compass does not replace the provider’s own clinical governance, authorisation or statutory responsibilities.

Team-led planning

We learn how the service works, where additional capability is needed and what the assignment actually requires.

Competence & accountability

Assignments should match clinician competence, registration, indemnity and any provider-specific requirements.

Documentation & escalation

Appropriate records, communication and escalation are expected in line with the commissioning provider’s systems.

Professional documentation

Registration, training, insurance and other relevant evidence can be provided where required for onboarding or governance checks.

Working together

From requirement to
response.

01

Tell us what you need

Share the environment, dates, scope and any known risks or provider requirements.

02

We understand your team

We clarify structure, standards, responsibilities, governance and the operational requirement.

03

We integrate and contribute

Agreed expectations, clear communication and support intended to feel part of your service.
